Trump to talk about Venezuela on Monday at Florida International University

enter;">

President Donald Trump is headed to Miami on Monday to speak about the ongoing turmoil in Venezuela, a move that could embolden interim president Juan Guaidó and put further pressure on Nicolás Maduro to flee the country.
Trump is scheduled to speak at Florida International University, where he’ll reaffirm his support for Guaidó and, according to the White House, hammer socialism as a scourge. The president will deliver his address at the university’s Modesto A. Maidique campus in Sweetwater, which is immediately south of Doral, home to the largest concentration of Venezuelans in the U.S.
Trump, who is expected to travel to Mar-a-Lago ahead of the Presidents’ Day weekend, is looking to increase pressure on Maduro to leave Venezuela, while extending an opportunity to military leaders if they will disobey the Venezuelan leader and allow aid into the country. The timing is crucial as Trump and the administration seek to keep momentum building against Maduro.
“We have tremendous support all over South America, all over the world, really” for our position on Venezuela, Trump said Wednesday during a White House meeting with Colombian President Iván Duque. “We’ll be seeing a lot over the next few weeks.”
stigating how to get tens of millions of dollars worth of aid from the United States into Venezuela that Guaidó promised would be delivered starting Feb. 23. The Maduro government has blocked a bridge connecting the once oil-rich nation to Colombia as the humanitarian aid, requested by Guaidó, has collected along the border.
Trump’s visit is a continuation of an aggressive stance against Maduro, taken with consultation of Miami congressional leaders. His appearance at FIU comes just two weeks after Vice President Mike Pence traveled to Doral to emphasize the Trump administration’s support for Venezuelans and Venezuelan exiles who’ve fled to the U.S.

MORE TIMELY THAN EVER> Official School Records Support Claims That Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) Married Her Brother | Self-Evident (Where was @StarTribune on this. Most cowardly paper in America.)

Minnesota state Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-60B) currently leads the race to fill the federal House seat being vacated by Rep. Keith Ellison (D-MN). Immediately after being elected to her current seat in 2016, Omar faced allegations -- soon backed by a remarkable amount of evidence -- that she had married her own brother in 2009, and was still legally his wife. They officially divorced in December 2017.
The motivation for the marriage remains unclear. However, the totality of the evidence points to possible immigration fraud and student loan fraud.
Rep. Omar has stated that she did marry "British citizen" Ahmed Nur Said Elmi in 2009, though the allegation that he is her brother is "absurd and offensive."
Below, exclusive new evidence -- from official archived high school records and corroborating sources -- strongly supports the claim that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi is indeed her brother.

As this implicates Rep. Omar in multiple state and federal felonies, I have contacted the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Minnesota to submit all other information uncovered during our investigation.

According to official student enrollment records archived by St. Paul Public Schools and the state of Minnesota, an “Ahmed N. Elmi” was enrolled as a senior in the Class of 2003 at Arlington Senior High School in St. Paul, MN, from September 6, 2002, until June 10, 2003. He graduated and received a diploma.

The enrollment record states that “Ahmed N. Elmi” was born on April 4, 1985.
Both Ilhan Omar’s 2009 marriage documents and her 2017 divorce proceedings state that Ahmed Nur Said Elmi was born on April 4, 1985.

After an extensive background search, I have not been able to find any other person named “Ahmed Nur Said Elmi,” “Ahmed N. Elmi,” or even “Ahmed Elmi” with the birthdate April 4, 1985. The man Ilhan Omar married and the 17- to 18-year-old who attended Arlington Senior High School in St. Paul, MN, in 2002-2003 are one and the same.
Ahmed N. Elmi was a minor for most of the school year, and thus his parent(s)/legal guardian(s) would very likely also be listed on his enrollment records -- along with his home address and telephone number.

St. Paul Public Schools stated to me that federal law (FERPA) and Minnesota law forbid it from releasing the names of Ahmed N. Elmi’s parents/legal guardians, address, or phone number from his enrollment record without Elmi’s signed permission -- or a warrant.
I then contacted several members of the Class of 2003 -- and I was told that Eli “was living with his father” while attending Arlington Senior High School. I have also obtained the likely address.
Further, Elmi’s father was identified as the same man Ilhan Omar has always publicly referred to as her own father: Nur Said Elmi Mohamed.

On Friday (October 19), I emailed Rep. Ilhan Omar, the MN Democratic Party (DFL) chairman, and the MN DFL CD-5 chairman to request comment. I asked for a response by Monday evening -- a full three days. I also sent a follow-up email to all three on Monday afternoon:

No one responded.

This was not unexpected. Rep. Omar did not respond to a three-day deadline before I published an article covering her on August 8, 2018. That article presented documented evidence that Omar appeared to commit perjury multiple times during her 2017 divorce proceedings.

However, perhaps this tweet posted last night from Rep. Omar’s official Twitter account was an indirect response:

Omar will be speaking at a dinner hosted by Islamic Relief USA on Feb 23rd. A group who has been named a terror financier by the UAE and Israel. She has ZERO business on the House Foreign Affairs Committee

If Rep. Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., really wants to avoid being branded as an anti-Semite, she will cancel her planned speech later this month for a group, which is considered by foreign governments to be a terrorist-financing organization.
Omar is scheduled to speak Feb. 23 in Tampa at what is labeled a Yemen Emergency Dinner sponsored by Islamic Relief USA, or IRUSA. Islamic Relief, which has chapters in 20 nations, has been branded a terror financier by the governments of the United Arab Emirates and Israel. Russian authorities, the Swiss bank UBS, the British bank HSBC, and reports by governmental entities in Germany and Sweden all have determined that Islamic Relief has supported radical Islamist organizations such as the Muslim Brotherhood.
Numerous moderate Islamic leaders in the U.S. also have denounced IRUSA for donating “to terrorist sympathizers and enablers, including affiliates of Hamas, a foreign political group with documented evidence of supremacist views and Jew-hatred.”
At the dinner in Tampa, one of the other three featured speakers alongside Omar is IRUSA’s “East Zone Manager,” Yousef Abdallah, who on his social media accounts repeatedly has promoted violent anti-Semitism. For example, Abdallah praised as “beautiful” a story lauding a “resistance hero” whose work helped “kill more than 20 Jews” and “fire[d] rockets at Tel Aviv.”
Much of the reporting on IRUSA and Abdallah, thoroughly documented, comes from the Middle East Forum, a think tank most often associated with respected scholars Daniel Pipes, MEF’s founder, and Michael Rubin. The Clarion Project, led by analyst Ryan Mauro, likewise has denounced Islamic Relief for having “many documented links to terror funding — particularly Hamas — and the Muslim Brotherhood. It also is managed by prominent Islamist extremists.”
So, too, has the Investigative Project on Terrorism, which published a photo of IRUSA’s board chairman Khaled Lamada with members of the Muslim Brotherhood, two of whom have openly supported terrorism.
Yet, Omar is willingly sharing an IRUSA podium with Abdallah, even after being sternly rebuked by House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., for her most recent foray into “anti-Semitic tropes.” And that was far from the first time she has engaged in such tropes.
Anti-Semitism is a horrendous evil and a trend again growing, not just in Europe, but in the U.S. as well. It is a scourge that must be fought, and it is one that should have no place in Congress. If Omar will not take even more steps to avoid spreading it and associating officially with those who do, she should be shunned by every one of her House colleagues.
